We are a loving family of 7, unless you count our pets, which would make us a loving family of 16 :) I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jim, for almost 6 years but we have been together for almost 11 years! We met in a chat room on the internet that was used as a source of fellowship between single parents through a great mutual friend of ours.
We are a blended family with Grant who is 16 (his boy), Ryan who is 15 (my boy), Austin who is 12 (his boy), Shelly who is 12 (my girl) and Kyle who is 4 (our boy). We also have a 9 year old English bulldog, 3 indoor 7 yr old cats, a 2 yr old lab mix and 2 barn cats that are almost a year old.
Jim has been a teacher for over 15 years and is the Academic Team Coach. He also volunteers with the Ruffin Theater and Brighton Dixie Youth Baseball.
I have been a paralegal for over 12 years and found myself unemployed since April 2010. I decided in August to become a Creative Memories Scrapbooking Consultant so that I could make money doing something I love to do! I also volunteer at the Ruffin Theater, hold a board position for Brighton Dixie Youth baseball and very active with Brighton Bands.
Grant plays Tuba for Arlington High School Marching Band and is active with Brighton Dixie Youth baseball.
Ryan plays Trumpet for Brighton High School Marching Band and is also active with Brighton Dixie Youth baseball.
Austin plays Baritone for Houston Middle School Band and is active with the Ruffin Theater as well as Brighton Dixie Youth baseball.
Shelly plays Clarinet for Brighton Middle School Band and is active with the Ruffin Theater, helps with concessions for Brighton Dixie Youth Baseball and Brighton Bands.
Kyle wants to play the quads, enjoys Disney Pixar's Cars, Wrestlers, Nick Jr. shows, Football and even at the age of 4 is very active on the computer and super smart!
